Valerie graduated from Alderson-Broaddus University in 1997 with a bachelor degree in Psychology, and later earned a PA degree from Mountain State University. She has been practicing medicine as a PA-C since 2002. She’s always had a great interest in psychology and psychiatry, and entered the behavioral health field of medicine in 2009. Her experience includes Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, including autism and developmental disorders, as well as Adult Psychiatry. She is most skilled in treating anxiety and attention disorders. She began using telemedicine to reach patients in remote areas in 2016, and also spent 2 years involved in a team-approach university study examining the benefits of telemedicine in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders.
